Location: Along the Cuyahoga River Valley between Akron and Cleveland, Ohio.
Ohio’s only National Park, excluding the National Forest and National Historic Locations, Cuyahoga National Park stretches between Cleveland and Akron along the Cuyahoga River. It features miles and miles of trails, amazing overlooks, picnic areas, a couple ski resorts, and lots of history with the Ohio-Erie canal flowing through it. It’s a unique National Park with many residential areas within it’s boundaries and also co-managed with both Cleveland and Summit County Metro Parks. There’s lots to see here, and it could take a few weeks to visit it all.
