Lake Loramie State Park has an old man-made reservoir, built in 1824, as a feeder for the Miami Erie Canal. It is located north of Dayton, Ohio near Sydney. It has a campground with electric and showers and is an established fishing community. I stayed here Halloween weekend as a basecamp, so I could visit the parks south of here, in Miami County.

Campsite #52.
Another angle.
That is a shower house next door.
Sites are fairly good size.
50 and 20 Amp power.
The fire pits work well too.
There’s some fall color here as the trees are pretty mature and diverse.
Red Cedar.
Bald Cypress.
Bald Cypress leaves and fruit.
This is the dam side of the lake.
I believe this is the old canal.
This restaurant is right near the campground, called Morrie’s Landing, has good breakfast, steaks, and beer.
