Lanterman’s Mill in Mill Creek Metropark in Youngstown, Ohio, is a grain Mill built in 1845 which still grinds wheat, corn, and buckwheat today, albeit on a much smaller scale than it did in the 1800s. The mill sits on an amazing waterfall on Mill Creek and can be toured. I didn’t do the tour this trip, as I was constrained for time, but vowed to return again soon. This time, I hiked around it and viewed the fascinating landscape around it.

I took the trail in the above picture, which lead to this trail which went under the bridge, but then I decided to backtrack across the bridge toward the mill.

Just upstream from the mill is a covered bridge.
It’s a modern bridge(1988), but built in the retro style after the bridge which was destroyed on this site.

Thanks, Baker. I recently revisited the mill and took a tour. The mill is still active today, albeit on a much smaller scale, and really just on a tourism front. That blog is coming soon.
