The West Woods is a 902 acre park east of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and is managed by the Geauga Park District. It features about 7 miles of trails, many of which allow horses, and protects some amazing woodlands, caves, cliffs, and watersheds. There is also a Nature Center and picnic areas.
I hiked here, as it was recommended by a good friend, who works at a nearby park. In fact, I met him here and we hiked together.

The trails are wooded from the start.

We went right, but make sure you know which way you are going, as you can get twisted around in the ravines.
There are deep ravines here.
And some outcroppings.
Some big ones with caves.
I like how they educate about what you see.
Cool bridge.
We took a side trail that overlooked this cool dome, run by a friendly neighbor, ASM (American Society of Metals).
The cliffs get good here.
This is one of the good spots.
This is an amazing ravine.
It’s amazing how sandstone erodes.
These are some sizeable cliffs.
I believe the main trunk was cut on this maple and new trunks sprouted from the edges creating the pool in the middle.
