Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve is also an extension of Liberty Park in Twinsburg, Ohio and is managed by Summit Metro Parks. It is a large marsh with diverse ecosystems including many types of trees, wildflowers, birds, beavers, muskrats, and even otters.

North trailhead leads to an observation deck over a large marsh.

This marsh is huge.
There’s an eagle’s nest.

I returned to the parking lot and crossed the road to the other trail.
This one is more woodland.
The trail splits into a loop here. I went left.
Large Flowered Trillium. Ohio’s state wildflower.
There is a boardwalk over some of the marshy areas.

Partridge Berry in the pine needles.
There are several ponds out here.
The trail skirts the edge of the pond.
These lilies will be flowering soon.
Green Heron. He’s about two feet tall.

This spur off the main loop goes to the southern point.
There is a bench at the point to relax and soak in nature.
