The first hike of my last day at Caesar Creek State Park was in the Fifty Springs Picnic Area. You enter this area off of 73 just east of the scenic bridge which crosses over the lake. There are numerous parking areas, however I chose to park in the first area I came to which is a large picnic area. The Fifty Springs Trail from here is on the west end of the lot and can go either south or north and is a loop. The Perimeter Loop Trail also crosses here.

First Parking Area.
Trailhead across from the parking lot.
Waypoint Marker S1.
Yellow is the Perimeter Trail and Orange is the Fifty Springs Trail.
The Fifty Springs Trail passes a few picnic areas.
There’s a pretty good drop off to the lake, and a good view of the SR 73 bridge.
Milkweed. The monarchs love these.
A few areas along this trail have nice access to the water.
They dug a hole and put the trash in it. Why?
At Waypoint Marker R, this old road goes down to the lake.
Looks like it used to go across to another peninsula before the lake was here.
Bridge between Waypoint Markers Q and O is washed out, but the stream is crossable.
This was a scenic ravine.
Upside down Luna Moth.
Spotted Touch-Me-Not aka Jewelweed.
The Fifty Springs Trail loops back around and comes out behind where I started.
You can see how the Perimeter Trail (yellow) is just passing by.
