This was a beautiful fall day in Blendon Woods Metro Park. The fall colors were in full display. I hiked nearly 6 miles.

I started out on the Goldenrod Trail from the Nature Center.
The Goldenrod Trail is a prairie area.
The routinely mow this area to keep it from reforesting.
Amazing colors.
After the Goldenrod Trail, I stopped at the Nature Center.
Then I hiked down the Sugarbush Trail.
The Sugarbush Trail has a small prairie toward the outer part of the loop.
I decided to follow an offshoot off of the Sugarbush Trail which led me to a Natural Play Area. This sign is looking back from where I came from.
There are some shale cliffs in this small creek.
I’ve seen this black squirrel a few times in this area on the Hickory Ridge Trail near the Nature Center.
