Location: About 15 miles south of Nelsonville, Ohio on State Route 278. Official address is 29681 St. Rt. 278, Zaleski, OH 45698.
Zaleski State Forest is the second largest of Ohio’s state forests at over 27,000 acres. Lake Hope State Park is at it’s center. It has a 29 mile backpacking trail as well as the historic Moonville Tunnel, which is reportedly haunted.
