Location: Just east of Englewood, Ohio north of US 40.
Englewood Metropark is a large 1,900 acre park and is part of the Dayton, Ohio Five Rivers Metroparks system. It features picnic areas, fishing access, and many miles of trails through the Stillwater River floodplain and woodlands around it. A large dry dam is on the south end of the park which helps protect the Dayton area from potential floods, as happened in 1913 when downtown Dayton was inundated with 14 feet of water in some places. There are several places to park to access trails, with a south and west area separated from the larger east area.
