Location: Various locations in the region near Lynx, Ohio, however the visitor center is on Waggoner Riffle Road about 2 miles south of SR 125.

The Edge of Appalachia Preserve System is a region of parks managed by The Nature Conservancy and totals over 20,000 acres. The area sits in southern Ohio on the edge of the Appalachian escarpment which is a foothills area which was tilted toward the mountains. It also is on the edge of the remnant prairies of the midwest. As such, it has cliffs, steep ravines, and amazing wildflowers. The region is comprised of several areas: Christian and Emma Goetz Buzzardroost Rock, The Charles A. Eulett Wilderness, E. Lucy Braun Lynx Prairie, Joan Jones Portman(where the visitor center is), and John and Marion Becker Cedar Falls. They are continuously growing this area.
