Location: Just west of Kent, Ohio at 1028 Meloy Road.
Cooperrider Kent Bog was once a 50 acre lake formed by a chunk of ice which broke away from the retreating glaciers. It has since filled in with peat and other vegetation and supports an amazing array of prehistoric plants. There is a boardwalk throughout which can give close up views of carnivorous plants and one of the best stands of Tamarak Pines in the state.
