Map of Lynd Fruit Farm location

Lynd Fruit Farm has thousands of acres spread around at various locations in Licking County, Ohio. They grow a variety of produce including apples, peaches, pumpkins, and more. They also have several other fields where they host activities at various times during the year. One of the favorite events is S’miles of Sunflowers. Six acres of 30 different varieties located just west of the main market at the corner of Morse Rd and SR 310. My girlfriend Shawna and I got there right as the sunflowers were in bloom in early September. The cost is $10 per person to tour the sunflower fields and that includes one sunflower to take home and wagon rides to the apple cannons and three apples.

They have over 6 acres of sunflowers at this location
There is even metal ones
They seem to go on for miles
They have many varieties some on the same stalk like these 3 4 ft sunflowers
These cream colored sunflowers were mixed in with the yellow ones
They seemed to be at peak bloom
I captured a Bald Faced Hornet resting after a large feast
Some were large
And some had thin petals
I did capture a few other flowers like this beautiful thistle
The honey bees were in heaven
There are three varieties here the tin petal one the standard looking short one and the tall ones
You can really see how tall these ones were Thats me with my girlfriend Shawna from I Wanna Go Show and her dog Bella Family friendly dogs are allowed on a leash
There were these stunning burnt orange ones
The Bumble Bees were also feasting
Here you can see the multiple flowers on one stalk
This one had an orange inner part to the petals
This is called Flower of the Hour
There was this large chair in the middle of the field
Another shot of the multi flowered variety
They were beautiful
I love this new camera The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
You can see the honey bee looking at me
These were my favorite
They had a craft area and a stage with live music
There was still more to come with this flower show
We spent a couple hours enjoying this paradise
Short wagon rides drove people to the apple cannons from the parking lot
I used to pick apples here when I was a kid with my grandma
More apples than you can imagine
They were protecting some from birds and insects
There were some good targets at the apple cannons
I bought a bucket after shooting the three free ones they give each visitor It was fun
