It was a beautiful morning and I went on a morning stroll in one of my favorite local parks. Blendon Woods Metro Park is located just off East Dublin Granville and Cherry Bottom Roads in northeast Columbus, Ohio. It has several miles of trails with a mix of ravines, woodland, and prairies. I frequent this park often, in fact I consider it my laboratory for studying wildflowers and testing new gear.

The morning sun was warm and peaceful in the morning.
Dutchman’s Breeches.
Toadshade Trillium.
The mottled leaves are Trout Lilies.
Ramps.
Not 100% sure, but I think it may be a Box Elder.
The naturalists have placed many education signs like this along the trails.
Rue Anemone.
Rose thorns.
I believe it’s an Oak Tree flower.
Virginia Bluebells.
Poet’s Daffodil.
Native Red Columbine.
Another Daffodil.
And another…
Blackhaw Viburnum.
Eastern Redbud.
Box Elder.
Violet.
Bloodroot.
Wild Ginger.
Huge clusters of Ramps aka Wild Leeks.
The Leeks are everywhere.
A serene creek bed.
This Toadshade Trillium is blooming. That is about as open as the flower gets.
Ragwort.
Ramps.
Spring Beauty.
Yellow Violet.
One of the Buttercups.
A carpet of Spring Beauties.
