I have posted a new video from May 28 to the YouTube channel. This is the second video (first), which I produced while in the area during this time. I spent Memorial Day weekend in the Red River Gorge area in Kentucky, and camped at Natural Bridge State Resort Park. This was my second full day of hiking and I spent the day in the Red River Gorge with my buddy Wes.
The Red River Gorge Geological Area is a nationally designated special area for its significant geological formations. It is situated in the Daniel Boone National Forest about an hour east of Lexington, KY. They have literally hundreds of natural stone arches here and huge cliffs, along with waterfalls, and diverse plants and animals. Numerous trails cover the area and rock climbing and backpacking are very popular. My buddy Wes and I did a nearly 10 mile hike this day and we saw some spectacular sights. Grey’s Arch is one of the biggest arches and Hanson’s Point gives a spectacular view of the gorge.
