Lake La Su An Wildlife Area is a large hunting and fishing area in the far northwest corner of Ohio which features hiking trails on the west end of the park around the many lakes. The name comes from an abbreviated names of the original owners children.

Trails are not marked well here and there are a lot of intersections. I carry a Garmin GPS, however I noticed the trails are mapped on the free ODNR Detour app and it will track your location.

American Daggar Moth caterpillar. These guys can cause a terrible skin reaction if their hairs get on you. Like fiberglass, if you itch it, they spread. I’ve heard the best way to remove the hairs is with tape, as even washing them spreads them.
