Burton Wetlands State Nature Preserve is a 305 acre park just southwest of Burton, Ohio on Rider Road and is managed by the Geauga Park District. In addition to the wetlands, it features three trails, a large prairie, incredible birds, Tamarack Pines, and a large kettle lake called Lake Kelso.

It was formed when a large block of ice broke off the receeding glacier and sunk into the muck.
