Date: 04/17/2021 – Distance: 1.5 mi – Elapsed Time: 1.0 hr – Ascent: 144 ft – Descent: 138 ft – Difficulty: Easy

Scioto Brush Creek State Nature Preserve is a small preserve protecting a diverse stream with many species of fish and some rare wildflowers along it’s banks. I was too early for the federally threatened Appalachian Spirea which is only found here, but I did see a Dwarf Crested Iris nearly at bloom. The trail is only a mile and a half round trip.
