Date: 12/21/2019 – Distance: 4.1 mi – Elapsed Time: 2.5 hr – Ascent: 203 ft – Descent: 178 ft – Difficulty: Easy

This was my second visit to Lobdell Reserve. I parked again at the Horse Lot and stayed on the south side of the park because the creek was about half frozen and I didn’t want to cross it. I still managed to get a little over 4 miles in my hike. I even managed to do a trail that I missed the first time I was here which goes along the top of the shale cliff and overlooks the disc golf area. It was a beautiful sunny day.

Waypoint Marker 23.
I’m on top of the shale cliff looking over the disc golf parking lot.
Looking toward Waypoint 19 where the creek crossing is.
Looking back toward the cliff top.
There are lots of prairies here.
Looking across the creek toward Waypoint 19. I did not cross this time.
At Waypoint 22 looking across the creek.
It looks confusing, but if you are there, it’s not bad. Trails go three directions.
Supposedly there’s a geocache here, but I can’t find it.
This cliff is very crumbly, don’t get close.
