I was actually trying to go to Wahkeena Nature Preserve to see their orchids, as they have a lot of different species there, but it was closed due to COVID-19. So I went next door to Rhododendron Cove State Nature Preserve which actually shares a border with Wahkeena, in hopes that I could find some orchids there. I’ve been to this park several times, and with the rain today, the colors of the dark green Rhododendrons against the wet sandstone cliffs was really popping.
