Date: 11/29/2019 – Distance: 1.9 mi – Elapsed Time: 1.0 hr – Ascent: 287 ft – Descent: 240 ft – Difficulty: Easy

My second hike in this park was across the lake from Hosak’s Cave to an old stone house built in 1840 and restored in 2003. There is parking on the east side of Road 4 and the trailhead is across the road.
About a tenth of a mile from the trailhead you come to a waypoint marker labelled AA. The trail splits here and comes back together later. To the right is an easier route along the lake. I took the left fork which ascends the hillside.
There are some rocks on this trail and some with small “caves”.
About a mile into the trail, you arrive at the Stone House. For being built in 1840, it’s pretty impressive. It sits right on the lake front with a beautiful view. Apparently it’s open Friday through Monday from 1 to 5, however today it was not open, probably due to the holiday.
