I arrived at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Visitor Center(6947 Riverview Rd, Peninsula, OH, 44264) shortly after 4pm on Friday. I wanted to get there before they closed to grab some maps and check out the newly renovated center. I was staying nearby just outside the park in Boston Heights at a hotel.
The Visitor Center occupies an old 1905 Cleveland-Akron Bag Company store building right along the Cuyahoga River. It had just opened a couple weeks before I arrived, after being fully renovated. The Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad makes a stop just in front of the Visitor Center.
A new parking lot is under construction, however there is parking at the Boston Store on the other side of the river which served as the previous Visitor Center.
